Webster County Library Received LSTA GrantThe Webster County Library is pleased to announce we have received a Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant. The grant amount was $1920. With this grant we were able to purchase a laptop computer, networking equipment, a wireless barcode scanner, and a audio-visual cart to construct a Mobile Collection Maintenance Station (MCMS). This system will allow us to perform maintenance on our collection from the floor of the library and in real time, a direct connection to our automated circulation system. This collection maintenance station will save staff time and help ensure that when our patrons go to the shelves to look for a specific book or item, it will be there. This project is made possible by a grant from the Missouri State Library and the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services. The Institute of Museum and Library Services is the primary source of federal support for the nation’s 122,000 libraries and 17,500 museums. The Institute’s mission is to create strong libraries and museums that connect people to information and ideas. Public Wireless Service - Wi-Fi at your Library
