Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
If our library doesn't own a book you want to read, we may be able to borrow it from another library. You must have a Webster County Library card in good standing to use our ILL service.
An interlibrary loan fee of $1.50 per book is charged to help offset postage costs. Once you have placed an order for a loan, we cannot cancel the order or the fee. Fines on overdue ILL books are $1.00 per day. Books on loan are subject to the other lending library's regulations. They may assign a shorter or longer lending period than ours. Even though you see a book listed in another library's catalog, it may not be available for interlibrary loan. Some libraries do not lend books marked "new" or books on reserve. Media items (video, audio, CD) are not available through interlibrary loan.
On rare occasions, a lending library may charge a fee for a loaned book. We will not order the book without consulting you first.
We use FirstSearch as our Interlibrary Loan source. Use these procedures to start your ILL:
