Seymour Deliveries

April 30, 2015 will be the last day that we will pick up or deliver items to the Seymour Community Library. Budget cuts and no clear answer if the cuts will be restored are what required this decision.

We will still provide cards to Seymour residents at no charge. Seymour residents must meet current WCL requirements to receive a library card. Application for a library card must be made in person at a Webster County Library branch in Marshfield, Rogersville or Fordland.

Food for Fines

When: April 13-18, 2015 during National Library Week

What can the food items be redeemed for?
• Only for the fines from overdue material.
• NOT: Lost or damaged material, or billed books.

What items can be redeemed?
• Any non-perishable food item is acceptable. If an item requires any special handling (refrigeration) we cannot accept it. Items should be within the freshness or expiration date.
• Canned goods, cake mixes, noodles, rice, beans etc…
• NOT: Expired, dented, or rusted items.

It’s Showtime

The Webster County Library will launch a new classic film viewing program, “It’s Showtime”, on January 20th at 9:30 with the film “Harvey” starring James Stewart. On the 27th, watch the movie that garnered Joanne Woodward an Oscar; “The Three Faces of Eve.” The following weeks feature two well-known duos: “It Happened One Night” with Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert on February 3rd, and on the 10th, Bogart & Bacall in “Key Largo”. The

Fordland Closed Christmas Break

Our Fordland Deposit Collection in the Fordland Highschool,which is normally open Tuesday and Thursday, will be closed December 23rd, 25th, 30th, and January 1st. The school is closing for Christmas break.

Beginning Knitting

Location: Marshfield - Garst Memorial Library Meeting Room

Beginning Knitting, registration is required. Class size is limited to 8 people, ages 18 and over. No fee. Must attend first class to continue. Class will be held for 4 consecutive Wednesdays – October 1, 8, 15, 22 in the meeting room from 10 a.m. to noon. Pick up your supply list at the Garst Memorial Library front desk when you sign up. Beginning Quiltmaking

Location: Marshfield - Garst Memorial Library Meeting Room

Beginning Quiltmaking: Registration is required. Class size is limited to 8 people. Must be age 18 or older. No fee. Must attend first class to continue. First class is lecture only and supply list will be handed out in class. Class will be held on 6 consecutive Fridays – Sept 12, 19, 26 and Oct. 3, 10, 17 from 9:00 – Noon. Teacher is Sally Knotwell.
