Funding for Internet Access in Libraries Cut

Governor Jay Nixon recently withheld ALL state funding for the REAL program which assists public libraries in paying for internet connectivity. Without this funding, the Webster County Library’s cost of providing internet access will triple to $18,738 per year. Many public libraries across our state will not be able to afford this.

If you value free internet access in public libraries, please contact the Governor’s office and let him know you want REAL funding restored.
